Benched! An A-10 Pilot on the OIF Sidelines
( 9 Articles )
The entries in this blog were either penned, or inspired by, my 2007 deployment to Baghdad as the Director of Personnel Recovery at the Corps Level. All of the initial entries were created while in-place in Iraq, but there were a few ideas that I had over there that never got fleshed out. Still, I felt that the inspiration behind the ideas was strong enough that the topics were worthy of a revisionist revisiting... even if the powerful inspiration that coincides with physical placement had long since passed. You be the judge as to which is more "authentic" once they're all uploaded or finished.

War Journal
( 7 Articles )
Yet another of my pet projects and "good" ideas that carries so much weight in potential and inspiration, but gets sidelined by the daily requirements of life and family. This section will be reserved for the transcribing of my war journal, began in 2002 with my deployment to Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, continued through the big push in 2003, and my repeated deployments. The plan for the piece is to transcribe the journal EXACTLY as penned in the original book (typos and all), and then expand upon what was written with more detail and memories than I had time to scribble down at the time.
